XBAND Summary
February is looming upon us as the days until MST3K premieres on SFC slowly
tick away... January's MSTie of the Month is CyberScape. "I'm a sixteen year
old male born in Ft.Worth, Texas who now lives in Lubbock. Fave hobbies
include music, rollerblade, techno clubs, and other fun things. As far as
looks? Blue eyes, (somewhat long) blond hair, 5'8", 128 lbs." *mSt3k*

"MST Generations" by mimyers2@vt.edu
I just saw the commercial for MST3K on the Sci-Fi Channel, and got a sample of
the new Crow voice. He's not bad. I guess I can get used to it by the end of
the season. I think the new MST should be called "MST: the Next Generation" or
something... Every single member of the original cast has now been lost or
replaced. Not necessarily a bad thing, though.

"Deep" by mstanon@msties.com
The plug has been pulled, and the SOL floated off to the edge of the universe.
Its crew is no longer corporial and Dr. Forrester has become a Star Baby. But
what of Pearl? She was letting Clayton move into her building when the 2001
parody took place. Could Toblerone take Mrs. Forrester to Italy? Could Sandy
revert from the Chicken of Tomorrow? These, and other questions, have been
plaguing MSTies from Coast to Coast since last May. When the SOL finally does
return to Earth orbit, the Umbilicus would have to go down to Deep 13 or
nowhere. Keep in mind that there was no teather for the entire duration of
Joel's stay on board, and it wasn't visible in "MST3K: The Movie." Maybe, just
maybe, episode 801 will tell all. Enter General Nelson and his robotic family
in Des Plaines, Illinois!

From the Poobah
To celebrate the arrival of MST on the Sci-Fi Channel, you're invited to an
IRC chat event immediately following the premiere of 801 Revenge of the
Creature on February 1st. Tune in to #mstanon on the EFnet to join in. We'll
discuss the new "plot," Crow's new voice, our scorn for Comedy Central, and of
course, the riffs. For future editions, feel free to write your own review of
any episode from Season 8, including your favorite jokes/sketches. I just
can't wait, can you?
